Overview
The Newberry Garden Club is committed to giving back to the community. The money we raise throughout the year supports scholarships for Newberry High School seniors who are continuing their education at a trade school, college or university. In 2026 we awarded five $1,000 scholarships.
In addition, NGC sponsors local elementary and middle school students to attend Camp Wekiva. The Florida Federation of Garden Clubs has been sending children in grades 1 - 8 to Camp Wekiva since 1974. The children have a lot of fun and learn about the importance of conservation and the protection of our environment. Newberry Garden Club has been sponsoring students each year since 1984. In both 2025 and 2026 we sponsored three children.
